Most awesome news: I found a foster for the puppy!!!!!!!

As I was leaving work a colleague called... she had read this very blog here. She offered to foster the pup!

So... the update is: pup is getting neutered tomorrow. I'm picking him up on Thursday and bringing him to the foster home!

Yay!

Elizabeth, you rock! (BTW, I already knew she rocked and had great friend potential...)

Ok, to show Elizabeth how much she rocks, everyone leave a comment for her, ok? The most comments I ever got on this blog is around 13. Can we beat that record for Elizabeth stepping up to the plate and not letting me or the puppy down? Yes we can! I want Elizabeth to know that people all over the world think she is awesome!

Oh and we need a name..... thoughts?

ETA: American Idol predictions. Going home this week:
Anoop-Dawg or Megan Joy CROAKEY (yuk yuk)

YEAH!!! Very exciting. Dogs are great. Thanks Elizabeth for saving this puppy. As for a name, what about Winston or Chewie. I know random but...

Thank you Elizabeth!!!! That little fuzzy butt of a puppy deserves a chance and you stepped up to the plate...you do indeed ROCK!
I don't suppose FuzzyButt is an acceptable name? ;-)

Awwwww! great job, Elizabeth.

What's the name of the street you were on when you first saw the pup? Unless it's a number, sometimes street names are cute.

Yay for the new puppy home.... I nominate Carmello! For the name. Mello for short if he is Mellow and Carm if he is rambunctious!

Thanks for the nice comments, but I am just a mush for a lost puppy in the rain! I showed the picture & story to my partner Wendy ... who has patiently given "us" permission to bring puppy to our house for a brief foster ... and we both thought the pic of pup looks like Chewbacca, the Wookie on Star Wars. The luring with lunch meat story reminded me of Han Solo's comment to Chewie: You are led with your stomach! If you don't like the name "Chewie," (for fear he will chew the couch some day), maybe "Bacc" (pronounced Bach) or Wookie? I don't know. Jack and Harry (my 2 Border Terriers) are anxious to meet him ... hope they get along well enough not to freak out pup!

I think FuzzyButt is a wonderful name, but that's just me (remember my pets all have those weird nicknames like Foochie Face, Bizzy Butt and ShoSho Pup).

Elizabeth, thank you for opening your heart and your home to this little cutie!

Great news!

It's good that the puppy has a new home. How about King for the name. My first and only dog was named King.

LOL @ Sarah! I knew you'd think FuzzyButt was an acceptable name :)
By the by, we frequently call Shiloh Sho Sho or ShoButt.

You Go Elizabeth! I just caught up with Mika's blog and it broke my heart to think the pup would think of HER as anything less than saintly (as a trickster). Thanks for your and your partner's generosity. And in a totally unrelated comment: Mik, who is the other dani in your life? Dani

Dani, they are anothr blogging/adopting family. You can click on their name on their comment and it should take you to their profile which in turn takes you to their blog.
