KISS???? QUEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kara in a bikini???
Black Eyed Peas, Carlos Santana, Cyndi Lauper, Queen Latifa, Rod Stewart, Keith Urban. Did I miss anybody?
There were some real surprises! Good job!
And Adam Glambert singing with KISS was as stroke of genius! You go with your glittery/leather/platform shoes/gay self!
Yes, he's GAY, and that's OKAY. Grr... I have been reading some blogs asking people to vote for Kris because Kris is CHRISTIAN and STRAIGHT and Adam consorts with the DEVIL because he's gay. One comment? "there are-unfortunately- pictures all over the Internet of Adam in drag, and making out with other guys. how he dresses on the show has nothing to do with it, or the fact that he's theatrical. he's a flaming gay man, which is fine, really... nothing worse about that than being addicted to alcohol, or porn, or gossip, or self-indulgence. the problem for me is that there is enough of that out there in Hollywood. we already have one gay american idol- we need a man that will stand out among his peers for his humility, not his attitude."
UGH! No! This is what following Jesus is about? Comparing being gay to diseases or a weak morality? What about how Jesus hung out with prostitutes and lepers and the unwanted and outcast? This kind of judgemental attitude is gross, in my opinion, would Jesus approve of this? Being gay is not a choice, nor is it something that needs to be "cured". I'm personally not gay myself, but if I was I would hope people would accept me for who I am and not who I'm attracted to. So yea, I can't read those blogs anymore. I won't subject myself to that kind of hateful vitriol nor be a part of raising their click-o-meters. If the commenter above was talking about a race, those comments would cause outrage and be clearly racist, but no ones says anything because it's about a gay person and falls under the catch all umbrella of "Christian values"? Phooey! Not cool.
I hope Adam knows there are more people out there that accept him as he is, than the rigid black and white repressed thinkers I've been reading lately. I love his "out there-ness", his attitude, his in-your-faceness, and his UN-APOLOGETIC gayness. Rock on glitter boy!
I hope I can teach Charlie to be open-minded and accept people for the content of their character and not their race, ethnicity, religion or sexual orientation.

I think it's actually better for Adam's career that he didn't win. He will not be locked in to the year long Idol contract, won't have to record that awful song Kara wrote and can start record company biding wars over him now.
Ha! Simon looked flabbergasted!
Congrats to Kris Allen! I love surprises!

I thought American Idol rocked last night! Wish it was like that every show! I thought they paired up the idols with really good star matches. They fit, know what I mean? Like you could tell that the idol could go on to do songs similar to the ones the stars did and it was going to be their forte. Ok, maybe not Kris with Queen so much, but Kris with Keith Urban was perfect. And Adam with Kiss was perfect. Adam with Queen was good too. And Allison with Cyndi Lauper. All great matches! Oh, and Kara in a bikini blew that bikini girl away! She has an amazing bod! And I'm not gay either but am comfortable saying that. ;-) I really wanted Kris to win because I think Adam screams too much. Nothing to do with his being gay or not. It doesn't really matter though, they'll all go on to get great record deals and we'll be listening to them on the radio in six months or less.
For REALS!!! Kris who? Oh yeah he was the guy I Fast forwarded through all season.....boring!!! I am in LOVE with Adam's guy liner and I am a Christian. I can't wait to hear Adam's first single!
Totally Rocked!!!!! I can't believe there is all this hype about Adam being Gay, I mean...Duh...and who cares!!!! I think it was good for Kris to win, Adam will be FINE!!! Plus, I really think Kris was the most improved and Adam was just awesome from the start and stayed that way. Okay, time to go get ready for the Homestudy today :)

it's a singing competition, right? despite the fact that adam is all kinds of cool (especially in those BOOTS), i didn't vote for him b/c i don't really like his voice. can it be as simple as vote for the one whose voice you like best? instead of vote for the one who stands for something you stand for? i've heard there was a lot of stuff out there this year. pretty sure jesus loves danny. pretty sure jesus loves adam. pretty sure i loved this season of idol! but i do NOT love that awful song kara wrote. at least she made up for it a bit by showing up bikini girl. LOL!
Not an AI viewer, but had to say..ouch, no. That's not what Christ was about. First thing that pops to mind is a scene in the Bible where a woman is being accused of adultery. While the people accuse the woman Jesus squats down and starts writing in the sand ( we can only guess at what he was writing)He then says to the crowd-- you without sin cast the first stone. They all leave. Jesus looks at the woman and says: "Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?"
"No one, sir," she said.
"Then neither do I condemn you," Jesus declared. "
In other words, even if you think homosexuality is a sin, who are you to judge?
