I have done online dating several times. Each time, I get discouraged after awhile becasue of the plethora of inappropriate responses. Either they seem like nice guys but I'm not interested, or they are perverts ("I'd like to rub my mandingo all over your body". Huh. Sure fella, that sounds like a great idea. Call me.)
In order to cut out the riff-raff, my family had the idea that I should post a picture of me, WITH Charlie, WITH the three dogs in the hopes that guys who wanted a one night stand would run to the hills as soon as they saw that. Theorectically, this type of picture would only attract responsible men who were compassionate, looking for a serious relationship, and slightly crazy but in a good way (like me).
So here are three pictures, which one do you think is better? I kind of like the eyes shut one, because it's sweet and heartfelt, and all three dogs look like they MIGHT listen to me on occasion. But then you can't see my eyes which are my best feature (imo). What do you ladies think? Can you get your hubbies and boyfriends over to the monitor and ask them?
What do you think about the whole idea of cutting out the riff-raff and showing the level of responsibility needed to be in a serious relationship with me? Good idea or too scary for the potential partner?

I think the first picture is very nice but not a typical you. I don't think you should use the one with closed eyes -- it does not do you justice.
I vote for No 2..you look alert, bright and beautiful...as you are!
i like the picture in the middle. you look beautiful. charlie looks adorable. and i love how the dogs are all looking at you as if they worship the ground you walk on...the way any suitor should do. :) though the picture with the closed eyes is sweet, i think your eyes are beautiful and i like that you are looking at the camera.
i like the idea of cutting out the riff-raff. let's let them rub their mandingos all over someone else. you are a family. anyone pursuing you would not just be pursuing you as an individual, but as a family.
and he better like dogs too!
I think it's a very good idea to show the level of responsibility that you are looking for. This will scare away the ones who are only looking for short term fun! So showing a picture with baby and dogs is a great idea. It will also differentiate you a bit from the thousands of others and, hopefully, attract the ones who want a family and love dogs.

Elliot and I agree - #2 all the way. Your eyes ARE gorgeous and while #3 is a sweet picture, it wouldn't work for dating attraction I don't think (and Elliot says he would want to see the eyes of a girl he's considering dating). A front shot of your face shows you off better and Charlie too. Elliot also agrees that having the full panopoly of craziness in your life is a good idea - although I should warn you that Elliot loves the whole family responsibility thing and so is biased - lucky for me.

I like the second one. But I don't think it will get rid of the riff raff or avoid the pervs. I say a picture of yourself with a description of your life and maybe pic two in the extra shots!!! Good luck!!!!
#2 for sure! the eyes closed one looks cute but a little fake. a little too nicey-nice. i like #2. you all look great! good luck with the dating. i really hope you get some good responses, even just for the fun of it. and nothing inappropriate.
i like the idea of putting all 5 of you in the photo but maybe in a more fun setting..like in a park or your backyard so it doesn't look like you want him to move into your home and start being a father! that might be a little too much pressure. of the 3, though, i like the second one best.

(3) I think it's great to show what they are getting into. A lot of times if you just say "I have a kid" they figure maybe shared custody/divorce.

I like the picture in the middle. You look very pretty, and are surrounded by those you love.
I like the second picture. I think the dogs could look a little meaner though. You know, to scare off the weirdos, but that's my opinion. Looks like you've lost weight too.
I like pic #2 and I love that you have Charlie and the dogs in the picture. Hubby agreed. He said it would definitely help get you what you are looking for to be upfront with your family. will help to weed out the weirdos. Good luck! I really like the middle picture!
Hubby isn't home but I'm pretty sure what he'll say: exnay on the ogs-day.
If the guy can read, he can see that you have kid and dogs. Put JUST a picture of you as the main picture; picture 2 if you want extras. Yes, a potential mate will have to accept and love everyone eventually, but you aren't taking them all on the first date, are you? IMHO, it looks as if there's no room on the couch. Just you; then them. I guess I'm the outlyer here, but that's what I think. PS: You look AWESOME! dcuz

I would go with the second one.
Don't like the closing of the eyes in the third, and the first.. looks (imo of course) too posed, not natural. The second looks real - you, your daughter and your dogs.

I like the 2nd one too. The only comment I have, and I'm family so hopefully you won't be offended by this, but you've lost so much weight and look so great why are you wearing a bagging army fatigue colored T-shirt in the picture and scuffed up shoes? You should put on a a better fitting shirt that shows off all your hard work. You look so amazing, I'm not standing anywhere near you in a bathing suit in Punta Cana!

I agree about the clothes, Kiki. It was a last minute picture before my paretns left, so no time (and I was too lazy) to get all dolled up. I do look pretty frumpy. Sigh. On the other hand, that is how I look 95% of the time.... so it's "true".

I agree with Danicuz on this one. You should use a pic of YOU as your primary and have a secondary taht shows off you and the "pack" :)

I agree with the majority that #2 is the best of the three. I also agree that a picture of just you as the primary would be best.
